Criss Cross Apple Crowns

I received a free sample of Comstock Fruit Filling as part of the Tastemakers Program with Duncan Hines.  As soon as I got my pie filling, I knew exactly what I was going to make - crisscross apple crowns.  I don't really remember where I found this recipe but these little nuggets are really tasty and super easy.
Crisscross Apple Crowns
Apple pie filling
1 package large flaky biscuits (in can)
2 tsp. butter, melted
cinnamon sugar

Flatten each biscuit into a 5” circle.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Spoon 1 Tablespoon Comstock apple pie filling into the center.

Fold up ends to close biscuit.

Place seam side down in a greased muffin tin.

Brush tops with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Cut and x into each top.

Bake 18 minutes at 350.

These little apple biscuits are so easy to make and they really are delicious.  We ate some for breakfast and snacked on the rest throughout the day.   Refrigerator biscuits and Comstock pie filling - a perfect match.

Remember my vow to change my perspective on leaves?  Saturday afternoon my wonderful husband and my daughter spent several hours raking leaves in the yard.  OK, so I didn't exactly rake the leaves myself but I did go out and photograph the event.

They did a fabulous job and they had a had a lot of fun in the process.
Have a great Monday.

Bon Appetit!
